Farm Business Consultancy

Agricultural Law & Land Management

From licences to tenancies, from pony paddocks to let farms, Tom has the knowledge of Agricultural Law, and the expertise in respect to its application for both landlord and tenant interests. It should be remembered that a tenancy is in fact an agreement between parties and although in most cases matters are settled by negotiation, both parties can rely on the relevant tenancy regulations which exist under statute, in either case, Tom is well placed to advise, and take your instructions.

Sales and Purchases

With a sound knowledge and practical experience of the rural property market together with the expertise of knowing where to advertise and how to market and let your property. The practice is well placed to advise and act on your behalf, in respect to the sale and/or purchase of farms, land and country property by Auction, Private Treaty and Tender.

Planning and Development

In recent years, Tom has actively been involved in acting for clients in respect to a range of planning and development matters including applications for change of use; lawful development; outline planning and agricultural notifications and in turn has secured permissions for building projects ranging from stables, to new agricultural units and dwellings to the conversion of redundant buildings. For specialist planning advice and development projects, instructions are accepted in association with Ian Pick Associates Ltd, who are Specialist Agricultural and Rural Planning Consultants and operate nationwide.

Valuation

As a qualified Chartered Surveyor, Tom is able to offer a comprehensive valuation service for property owners, accountants, solicitors and lenders to the property industry and is able to report in accordance with RICS Valuation standards, for the sale and purchase of estates, farms, country houses and cottages; tenancies; assessment of current use and property investment potential; taxation purposes for both current and historic dates; accounting, and lending purposes.

Property management is our core business, and a portfolio of high quality residential country property which is available to rent is being developed in the Counties of Monmouthshire and Gloucestershire.

Tom is able to offer a bespoke and professional property management service covering all aspects of property management for all types of rural property, which although is predominantly residential, includes let farms, land, and commercial property portfolios.
